A Tibro Journey
Tea-blanketed hills of Munnar, wild bamboo groves in Periyar, and slow sunset ripples along the Alleppey backwaters.
Glimpses of Kerala is an essential 4-night, 5-day journey capturing the quintessential landscapes of God's Own Country. From the mist-draped tea gardens of Munnar perched at 1,800 meters to the wildlife sanctuaries of Thekkady and the palm-fringed backwaters of Alleppey, every leg offers an authentic taste of Southern India.
Day by Day

Day 1
Arrive at Cochin airport / Ernakulam junction. Meet our representative who will assist you to your vehicle. Begin your journey towards Munnar, known for lush green hill slopes covered with tea estates at 1,800m above sea level. On the way, visit Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. As you near Munnar, admire the vast plantation slopes and clouds descending into the mountains. On reaching, check into hotel. Dinner & overnight at Munnar.

Day 2
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in Munnar, situated at the confluence of Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala rivers. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Dam, and Echo Point. Later visit the Tea Museum to understand the legacy of tea processing in the Western Ghats. Return to hotel. Dinner & overnight at Munnar.

Day 3
Post breakfast, take a scenic drive from Munnar to Thekkady, home of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Check into your hotel. Later, enjoy a spice plantation tour covering tea, coffee, pepper, and cardamom. Take an amazing boat ride in Periyar Lake flowing through the Tiger Reserve (subject to availability) with opportunities to spot elephants, bison, and deer along the banks. Visit the local spice market. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 4
Start the day with a relaxed breakfast, then drive from Thekkady to Alleppey. Check in and proceed for a short city tour visiting the RKK Museum and Coir factory. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a sunset backwater cruise in Alleppey, the 'Venice of the East', witnessing village life along the canals. Dinner & overnight stay in Alleppey.

Day 5
Post breakfast, proceed back to Cochin airport / Ernakulam junction for your onward journey, carrying wonderful memories of Kerala.

Things to Look Out For
India is not one country, climate-wise
Rajasthan in February reads dry-cold; Kerala in February reads humid-warm; Sikkim in February might be under snow. Pack for the specific itinerary, not 'India in general'. Tibro's per-state tours are tuned to one climate at a time. Don't try to chain three of them back-to-back.
Tipping is structured, not arbitrary
Driver tips at ₹500-1000 per day, guide tips at ₹500-1000 per half-day, hotel housekeeping ₹100 per day, restaurant 10% on top of any service charge already listed. Hand the driver/guide an envelope on the last day rather than tipping daily. It is more dignified for them.
Tap water and ice are a real consideration
Every Tibro-tier hotel provides sealed bottled water in the room daily. Use it for brushing your teeth too. At restaurants, ask for "sealed bottled water" specifically. Some places will pour from a filtered jug, which is fine in some kitchens and not in others. Ice is the hidden trap; ask for "no ice" with cold drinks unless the hotel makes its own.

Plan Your Timing
India is too large for a single calendar, but three broad windows hold. October to March is the cool, dry season — the headline stretch for most of the subcontinent, from the Rajasthan forts to the Kerala backwaters. April to June is hot, and in the northern plains genuinely dangerous. July to September is the southwest monsoon.
The exceptions matter as much as the rule. The Himalayan high country — Ladakh, Spiti, upper Himachal — inverts it completely and is only open May to September. Kashmir peaks in summer, Sikkim in spring and autumn, and Tamil Nadu takes its rain from the northeast monsoon in October and November. Each itinerary carries its own regional calendar.
