Preface
Switzerland is the only country in which a Tibro itinerary defers to the timetable rather than the other way around. The cog railway leaves at 09:32; the cable car closes at 16:45 because the snow lights come on at 17:00; the breakfast at the alpine hütte ends at 09:00 sharp. So we plan around the trains, not around your jet lag. What you get back in return is the country running like clockwork. Which is precisely what you came for.

Tibro has been routing Switzerland since 2014, when our first Indian-passport traveller asked us for two weeks in late spring and we did not know enough about the Engadine to say yes confidently.
We work with a Geneva-based partner studio run by Mireille (originally a hospitality lecturer at the EHL) and one Lucerne-based DMC who specialises in rail. Between them, they cover every Swiss canton and speak French, German, Italian, and Romansh.
Hotels in Switzerland are a Swiss-watch problem. Every property runs like clockwork, but two of three are corporate and only one of three has soul. We will tell you which third.
Forty-one routes is what we currently maintain. Adding one requires Mireille or our Lucerne partner to have personally stayed in the property in the past six months.

Mireille had reserved Glacier Express seats six months ahead, in the third carriage on the right because it has the better light for the Oberalp Pass section. Small thing; right thing. Lauterbrunnen for three nights from a chalet whose owner walked us up to the Schilthorn at five-thirty AM to see Eiger before the cloud rolled in.

Engadine & Lake Como side-trip, eight nights, June 2024
We had been to Switzerland twice before, both times to Interlaken. Mireille pushed us to the Engadine instead and we cannot understand why we waited so long. Pontresina was the trip. Wildflowers, hikes ended by a four o'clock thunderstorm every afternoon, a hotel manager who knew which trails would dry by next morning.

Winter in Zermatt, seven nights, January 2025
Not skiers; Tibro insisted that did not matter. They had us at the Matterhorn at sunrise on day one (a private taxi to Gornergrat that the studio had arranged because the public train was sold out). The rest of the week was strudel, long walks, two evening drives. We came back rested in a way we have never been rested by a holiday.
