Preface
The Netherlands is the country that decided the sea was not where it should be and built the country accordingly. Amsterdam is what you came for, but Amsterdam is small. Three days will exhaust it. So we pin Amsterdam to a Bruges weekend, or a Paris evening, or the Keukenhof tulip windows in late April. The trip works best as a punctuation, not the whole sentence.

Tibro has been routing the Netherlands since 2013. Twelve years of Amsterdam-anchored trips. We treat Amsterdam as a three-night city, not a five-night one; the trip works better when the days are paired with somewhere else.
We work with an Amsterdam-based partner desk run by Sanne (originally with the Rijksmuseum education department) and our Brussels DMC who handles the cross-border days into Bruges and Antwerp.
Hotels in Amsterdam are a canal-house problem. The great ones are nineteenth-century buildings with sloping floors, the merely good ones are 1980s renovations in disguise. We will tell you which is which, and which side of which canal actually walks better to the museums.
Twelve routes is what we offer. Adding a thirteenth requires Sanne to have personally walked the hotel-to-Rijksmuseum route, including across the Wetering bridges, before we list it.

Amsterdam & Paris, six nights, April 2024
Three Amsterdam nights timed exactly for the Keukenhof peak. Sanne had us at the gardens at opening hour with a private guide who walked us to the unphotographed corner. The Rijksmuseum was the next morning, before the school groups, with a curator on Vermeer for forty-five minutes. Then the Thalys to Paris in a reserved carriage. Every connection ran like Dutch clockwork.

Amsterdam & Bruges, five nights, September 2024
Two nights in Bruges followed by three in Amsterdam. The reverse order from what we had asked for, and Sanne explained why. She was right. The canal-house hotel had a top-floor room above the trees on the Herengracht. The studio also dealt with a lost wallet on day two with one phone call and zero stress on our end.

Grand Europe, thirteen nights, June 2024
Amsterdam-Brussels-Paris-Switzerland-Italy, in that order. Amsterdam was the right opener. Easy English, easy logistics, and the Van Gogh Museum private hour the studio arranged on day one set the tone. Sanne kept watching the trip even after we left the Netherlands; she texted us on the Swiss leg about a weather change.
