Preface
Ireland is the country the Atlantic ends Europe at. The west coast. Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway. Is the Wild Atlantic Way and the chapter that travellers come back wanting to do again. Dublin is the literary capital that fits in three days. Three Dublin days, four on the west, two for Northern Ireland and the Giant's Causeway. Best between May and September. The long northern light and the smallest chance of an Atlantic gale.

Tibro has been routing Ireland since 2018. Seven years of Dublin mornings, Wild-Atlantic-Way drives, Giant's-Causeway visits, and the Ireland-and-Scotland twelve-night arcs travellers come back wanting to extend through the Highlands.
We work with a Dublin-based partner desk run by Niamh (originally a Trinity College Long Room interpreter) and a Galway Wild-Atlantic-Way driver who knows the right pull-off for every cliff between Doolin and Slieve League.
Hotels on the west coast are an inside-the-town problem. The villages are small enough that the right hotel makes the difference between a postcard week and a meaningful one. We hold rooms at four properties year-round.
Three routes is what we currently maintain. The Ireland-and-Northern ten-night is the most-requested; we route the west AFTER Dublin because the cliffs in the second half of the trip read as the arrival they are meant to.

Ireland Republic, eight nights, June 2024
Three Dublin nights, then Galway, the Cliffs at sunrise on day five, Killarney for two, back to Dublin. Niamh's Long Room booking on the first morning at nine-fifteen was almost empty and the books-by-the-yard moment hit harder than expected. The Galway Wild-Atlantic-Way driver's pull-off above Slieve League at noon was the trip's third surprise.

Ireland & Northern, ten nights, September 2024
Dublin, the west, Belfast, the Causeway, the back through Newgrange to Dublin. The Belfast Black Cab tour the studio routed was a one-hour history lesson that re-framed the whole island. Niamh had warned us not to expect it to be a happy day and she was right. And it was the right day to have had.

Dublin, Belfast, ferry to Stranraer, Edinburgh, the Highlands. The ferry crossing the studio booked was a sea-day that became one of the trip's slowest, kindest hours. Niamh in Dublin handed us to her Edinburgh equivalent and the trip felt one-trip.
