Preface
Fiji is three hundred and thirty-three islands, of which you will see perhaps three, and that is the correct number. The country runs on a single word. bula. That means hello, welcome, life, and good health all at once, and on a reef so soft it is named for rainbows. We design it as three journeys because a fourth would only be a way of seeing fewer islands more quickly.

Tibro has routed travellers to Fiji since the mid-2000s, when the first overwater resorts in the Mamanucas opened to the long-haul market. From India it is a true other-side-of-the-world country, and we plan it so the jet lag is spent on a hammock, not in a meeting.
We hold annual retainers with the island resorts we use. Two in the Yasawas, one on the Coral Coast, one on Taveuni. Rather than booking on commission. The room we recommend is the room we would take ourselves.
Our ground designer sits in Nadi and writes the days you will spend. The village stays and the sevusevu. The kava welcome. Are arranged with the families directly, not bought as an excursion.
This page does not list the three journeys; those pages do, and a person sits at the end of them. Three is everything we offer in Fiji, and we are in no hurry to write a fourth.

Yasawa Islands, nine nights, July 2025
We took my parents, both in their seventies, and were quietly worried about the seaplane and the remoteness. It was the best decision of the trip. The village near our second island did a sevusevu for them. Kava, a circle, a song. And my father, who does not cry, did. The snorkelling was incidental after that. Tibro had warned us the islands run on their own time; they were right, and we needed it.

Taveuni & Coral Coast, eleven nights, September 2024
I have dived the Red Sea and the Andamans and went to Fiji half-expecting to be underwhelmed. The Rainbow Reef off Taveuni is the best soft coral I have ever seen, full stop. The designer had timed our dives to the tides without my asking and slotted a slow few days on the Coral Coast after, which I resented for one afternoon and was grateful for by the next. I will be back with my brother.

Mamanuca Islands, eight nights, December 2024
A honeymoon, and we wanted to do almost nothing. Which is harder to plan well than it sounds. Four nights in an overwater bure where the only decision was breakfast, then a livelier island for the second half so it did not get too quiet. A midnight message about a private dinner on the sand was answered before we woke. We have already sent the studio two friends.
