Preface
Denmark is the smallest of the Nordics and, by a quiet margin, the easiest. Copenhagen is the whole country in the way that London is not. Three days walks you from the Marble Church to the Tivoli gate, with a bike-hire and a smørrebrød lunch in between. Three days for the city, the rest for the loop. Best between mid-May and mid-September; the December markets are a separate, smaller window.

Tibro has been routing Denmark since 2016. Nine years of Copenhagen weekends, Scandinavian capital loops, and the eastern-Europe arcs that bookend in København for the flight home.
We work with a Copenhagen-based partner desk run by Sofie (originally a Royal Danish Academy designer) and a separate Nordic coordinator out of Stockholm who manages the four-capital ferry-and-train hand-offs across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
Hotels in Copenhagen are a thin-layer problem. The city has perhaps eight properties that meet the studio's bar; we hold rooms at four of them across the year, and pick the bay-side or the inner-city side per traveller.
Seven routes is what we currently maintain. The Classic Scandinavia ten-night loop is the most-requested; we route the order Copenhagen → Oslo → Stockholm → Helsinki because the overnight ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki is the prettiest middle night of a Nordic trip.

Classic Scandinavia, ten nights, June 2024
Sofie at the Copenhagen desk had the first three days routed around our pace. Late mornings, long lunches, an evening Tivoli on day two. The overnight ferry to Helsinki on the back end of Stockholm felt like a small voyage in itself. Ten nights, four countries, and a single coordinator who answered the phone at any hour. Worth every cent and then some.

Four capitals, plus a fjord side-trip out of Bergen the studio routed in for our family. The Copenhagen base on the front end gave us our bearings; the Helsinki end was somehow the part the kids talked about most. The studio's choice of a hotel one bridge from Nyhavn meant we walked everywhere the first three days and didn't realise it.

Eastern Europe with Copenhagen, thirteen nights, September 2024
Athens to Budapest to Vienna to Prague to Copenhagen, in that order. The studio's reasoning. Fly home from the city that's least tiring after thirteen nights. Was correct in a way we did not appreciate until the last day. Copenhagen for the final two nights was exactly the right way to end. Came back rested, which we had not expected.
