Preface
Chile is a country that runs two-thirds the length of South America. Atacama in the north for the driest-desert-on-earth night-sky, Santiago and the Maipo wine valleys in the middle, Torres del Paine in the south for the Patagonia trekking. Three Atacama, two Santiago, three Patagonia. Best between October and March for the southern-hemisphere summer.

Tibro has been routing Chile since 2020. Five years of Atacama lodges, Maipo wine afternoons, and Torres del Paine W-trekking weeks.
We work with a Santiago-based partner who handles the domestic flights and the Patagonia lodge allocations.
One route is what we currently maintain. The Atacama-and-Patagonia nine-night is the one we offer; we route Atacama BEFORE the south because the altitude acclimation primes the Torres trekking.

Three Atacama, two Santiago, three Patagonia, one flight day. The Atacama night-sky on day two at the ALMA observatory area was the trip's first quiet. The Torres del Paine sunrise on day eight was the trip's loudest. Two ends of one country.

Andean grand tour, fourteen nights, February 2024
Chile, Argentina, Peru. Three countries, fourteen nights, the studio handled three border crossings without us thinking about them. The Atacama-to-Uyuni overland day was the trip's surprise. The white-on-white salt flat after the red-on-red Atacama.
