A Tibro Journey
Colonial spice harbours in Fort Cochin, mist-cloaked tea estates of Munnar, wild Periyar forests, and tranquil backwaters in Alleppey.
Best of Kerala is an immersive 5-night, 6-day journey connecting Kerala's greatest highlights. Begin amidst the colonial history and Chinese fishing nets of Fort Cochin before winding upward into the high-altitude tea plantations of Munnar at 1,800 meters.
Day by Day

Day 1
Arrive at Cochin airport / Ernakulam junction. Meet our representative who will assist you to your vehicle and transfer you to the hotel. After freshening up, start your sightseeing tour of Cochin, the Queen of the Arabian Sea. Visit the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, and St. Francis Church—the oldest European church in India. Explore historic Fort Cochin with its colonial villas and art cafes, and catch a magnificent sunset over the Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening visit to Marine Drive or Lulu Mall. Dinner & overnight at Cochin.

Day 2
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Munnar, perched at 1,800m above sea level with lush green tea-covered hill slopes. En route, visit Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls. Admire the sprawling tea estates and mist descending upon the mountains. Check into your hotel. Dinner & overnight at Munnar.

Day 3
Proceed for local sightseeing in Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Dam, and Echo Point. Later visit the Tea Museum to learn the legacy of tea processing in the Western Ghats. Return to hotel. Dinner & overnight at Munnar.

Day 4
Post breakfast, take a scenic drive to Thekkady, home of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Check in to your hotel. Later, enjoy a guided spice plantation tour covering tea, coffee, pepper, and cardamom. Take a boat ride on Periyar Lake flowing through the Tiger Reserve (subject to availability) to spot wild elephants, bison, and deer. Explore the local spice market. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 5
Drive to Alleppey, the 'Venice of the East'. Check in and proceed for a short city tour visiting RKK Museum and Coir factory. In the afternoon, embark on an iconic sunset backwater cruise witnessing the symbiosis of backwaters and daily village life. Dinner & overnight in Alleppey.

Day 6
Post breakfast, transfer back to Cochin airport / Ernakulam railway junction for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Kerala.

Things to Look Out For
India is not one country, climate-wise
Rajasthan in February reads dry-cold; Kerala in February reads humid-warm; Sikkim in February might be under snow. Pack for the specific itinerary, not 'India in general'. Tibro's per-state tours are tuned to one climate at a time. Don't try to chain three of them back-to-back.
Tipping is structured, not arbitrary
Driver tips at ₹500-1000 per day, guide tips at ₹500-1000 per half-day, hotel housekeeping ₹100 per day, restaurant 10% on top of any service charge already listed. Hand the driver/guide an envelope on the last day rather than tipping daily. It is more dignified for them.
Tap water and ice are a real consideration
Every Tibro-tier hotel provides sealed bottled water in the room daily. Use it for brushing your teeth too. At restaurants, ask for "sealed bottled water" specifically. Some places will pour from a filtered jug, which is fine in some kitchens and not in others. Ice is the hidden trap; ask for "no ice" with cold drinks unless the hotel makes its own.

Plan Your Timing
India is too large for a single calendar, but three broad windows hold. October to March is the cool, dry season — the headline stretch for most of the subcontinent, from the Rajasthan forts to the Kerala backwaters. April to June is hot, and in the northern plains genuinely dangerous. July to September is the southwest monsoon.
The exceptions matter as much as the rule. The Himalayan high country — Ladakh, Spiti, upper Himachal — inverts it completely and is only open May to September. Kashmir peaks in summer, Sikkim in spring and autumn, and Tamil Nadu takes its rain from the northeast monsoon in October and November. Each itinerary carries its own regional calendar.
